Structuro-Communicative Approach

The study of language and culture and their interrelation has been for me for several years not only a passion, but also an opportunity to communicate in three languages which are English, French and Spanish. Throughout a twenty-one year experience and more as an ESL teacher or monitor, I developed a new approach to the learning of the English basics which I called “Structuro-Communicative Approach”. The objective of this approach is to reinforce the basic knowledge of the learner as well as enlarge his language repertoire. According to me, learning a language implies learning about its related cultures. Therefore, my teaching program allows the learners to communicate in their second or third language while discovering the language variations consequent to cultural differences. Thus, my motto is “Where Language Meets Culture”.
